Mail Drops
The Post Offices around the Pinhoti Trail probably aren't too familiar with hikers sending stuff to themselves, but General Delivery is a service that has been provided by the USPS for years and you shouldn't have any problems. If you are in doubt, need directions or operating hours, the phone numbers are listed here.
Please mark all of your packages with the following information: Your Name ATTN: Hold for Pinhoti Trail Hiker ETA 00 / 00 (appx. date you'll pick it up) General Delivery City, State, Zip Code of Post Office
Holding times may vary but most PO's will hold a package for 2 weeks. Be sure to include a return address on your package. Don't ship anything that is flammable or anything that will rot / spoil.
